## A saved page keeps its original time

When you return to the app without a connection, a saved page can help you find information you opened before. Its data does not become current because you open it again. Always read the collection time and the office time when one is available.

The app limits saved rate data to 24 hours. Both the source time and the time the app fetched the snapshot must fit that limit. An old source response does not gain another day simply because the app downloads it again.

## A page refresh does not update every quote

When the rate page is visible, it checks for data about every five minutes. A successful check can return the same source data. The office quote time changes only when the source supplies a changed time.

If the app cannot obtain a new snapshot, it can retain a usable old copy with a warning. If no usable copy exists, the rates remain unavailable. The app does not generate replacement prices. Read the [reference rate article](/en/guides/reference-and-transaction-rates/) to separate source time from office time.

## Install the app from your browser

Open the [installation section](/en/#install) while you have a connection. It provides instructions for the browser and device. An installation action can appear when the browser supports it. On other browsers, use the browser's own home-screen or installation option.

The app reports whether its basic offline files are ready. An install icon alone does not prove that every page or article is stored. Browser storage can be unavailable, full or cleared by the device.

## Read a guide before you need it offline

Open each guide that you want to read later while you have internet access. The app stores successful article pages for up to 30 days when storage permits. The offline copy has a visible notice. Its text remains a saved edition until the next successful online visit.

The guide page also offers a Markdown download. This file contains the article text, publication details and source links. Save it through your browser if you want a separate text copy. External source pages and external map services still need their own connection.

Article text and rate snapshots have different purposes. The text explains a method. The rate snapshot records a changing quote. The article's update date is not a market timestamp and does not make any example rate current.

## Saved offices stay on this device

The star action stores office identifiers in this browser. It does not create an account or synchronize between devices. Clearing site storage removes those choices. Private browsing can also limit how long data remains available.

A saved identifier does not reserve currency or permanently preserve an office in the source. If an office no longer appears in the current dataset, its old identifier cannot create a new quote. You can use the [map guide](/en/guides/exchange-office-map-guide/) to find another source-listed location.

## Maps and links need a connection

The map background is not an offline download. Saved office details can remain available, but missing map tiles require internet access. A direction link opens another service and follows that service's network and storage rules.

Before you travel, confirm the office address, current rate, net amount and availability. The [rate page](/en/#rates) and [buy and sell guide](/en/guides/buy-and-sell-rates/) help you read the information. The [privacy page](/en/privacy/) explains the app's local storage. Saved data supports preparation; it does not confirm a transaction.

## Check the application version

The App updates section shows the current page version and offers Check for updates and Update now. The app checks when it opens, returns to the foreground or reconnects. It also checks every five minutes while visible. A release downloads into a separate cache before activation. If a required file is missing or belongs to another release, the current installation stays available.

An automatic update waits until the open app windows are idle. Current converter inputs and filters use a temporary record in that window’s session storage so the reload can restore them. A busy window or blocked storage can postpone activation. An older window without the new update controls may need to close once. Offline devices keep the saved version until a connection returns; a version label cannot prove that an offline device has the latest release.
